The build I ended up using was max rs, sm, ce and gm, 1 point each in the rest of the summon tree (no fire golem), 1 point in amp, and the rest going in ig. It looked cool though since eth makes the golem translucent, but sometimes it bugs so even that wasn't so great. No great loss, the conc isn't so good and the blinds and freezes target mods are annoying. Lilith ended up killing my pride golem with slvl 37 golem mastery and 32 iron golem. And my merc was better off with ebug fort. I even kept the beast stashed and only used it for ubers, my usual weapon was ali babas lol. For bosses, the cb on merc's infi and the golem (made from ik maul) negated the need for damage from minions. CE was much faster, especially with fire resist reduced by the merc's infinity. But I found that even buffed up that much, the minions themselves still kill kinda slow. I guess if it's your playing style, then go for it. I had a beast axe I equipped, and gave the merc bramble as well. I tried doing the buff minions thing, first I went with pride on the merc, then infinity instead and made the pride into a golem.
